Drinking the Whole Bottle
Former English teacher gone abroad turned new wife, unsure mother, struggling writer, enthusiastic wine drinker, and rabble rouser of nonviolent sorts. This is my journey into tasting every drop of the good, good life in Dominican Republic.

I love Jen's blog. Often poignant, witty, and fresh, her posts are so worth the read! Whether you're a mother, a father, an ex-pat, a wife, a single gal, or just want a touching, insightful read- her blog is it!

I always love reading your blog entries!!! My favorite was definitely Dominican's Loudest Day. As a Dominican, the title made me a little apprehensive. However, i finished reading the entry with a warm heart! Thank you for finding something to love even in our flaws!!! Definitely looking forward to the next entry!:)

Jen is a beautiful spirit and it shows in her writing. I love seeing the world through her eyes, especially when the stories involve her lil babies :-)

The only thing I ever dislike about Jen's entries are the inevitable mascara rivers running down my cheeks! I'm a sucker for any type of nostalgia and I can almost always personally relate to Jen's posts. My tears are mostly happy tears, that form to the brink and spill over, all the way down to my wide smile as I think, "yeh, that's true... Yup- i know what she means.... Or well said sista!" So Jen- keep on blogging and I'll just get myself some new mascara and a hanky!

I love reading the "other" Jen's blogs. She makes me remember to appreciate all the things that life has to offer us on this island of ours. Her spirit is as beautiful as the words she writes.

At the end of a very long day, while my husband is putting our very energetic 3 year old to bed, I love to treat myself to Jen's blog. It always makes me laugh or tear up, but most importantly it inspires me to try new things and better myself. Jen's blog always tugs at my heart strings...Thank you to Jen for giving me a little inspiration, comfort, laughter, and love each day!

jen puts ideas and experiences into words that make you relate to each story as if it was your own. I love them.

a great blog with something for everyone. She writes with an ease and humor about expat life - yes - but about motherhood, politics, music, being a woman, being a person. I love that drinking the whole bottle is really an analogy of how she tries to live life.
