I am considering moving to a country outside the USA. In reviewing numerous blogs and their experiences, it's for sure that it's biting off a huge chunk to ever build or even renovate. I think one would need to have construction skills themself or know someone you trust living in that country who does. Otherwise, how to survive the misery? I just came across your blog and am enjoying it. Thanks a lot for your time and efforts to share your experience! Alena/USA.

Home is where the heart is. Giving up sunny South Africa was not easy going. Now living in Tondela with the most friendly and helpful community, I can't help but just smile and be at peace. Growing my own vegetables for the first time and relying on "cherades" (with a lot of laughs) to hopefully be understood. Learning Portuguese, with loads of fun in the pronunciation differences, from one person to the next. Oh well, its only a year down the line, I'll master it one day. I would like to know if there are any arts and crafts clubs in Tondela, or any ladies getting together to share crafts and ideas.
