OK, so Ann is a friend of mine! There, declaration made! BUT, this really is a great blog for the following reasons: 1. It's extremely well-written. 2. It's informative, insightful and interesting. 3. It's thoughtfully written and so gives a well-balanced, respectful account. 4. There are great photos and video clips included throughout to illustrate points, as well as a cleverly appropriate selection of art from local artists. 5. To paraphrase a comment on the blog: Ann balances a sense of journalistic integrity with interesting personal insights. Her academic authority is evident but doesn’t overpower. In summary, this very interesting blog is deserving of the highest accolades in the blogosphere! Séamus O'Sullivan

I agree with the comment left previously. This is a terrific blog. It's knowledgeable and written in an easy-to-read style. I definitely think it has what it takes to be listed at the top of Expats in Bangladesh Blogs. I found it to be a great read :)

I think this has to be the best description of such a trip to Tibet that I have read. Really comprehensive and easy to read. Although it's just one blog post it could easily be divided up into 10 posts and put in a blog of its own. Though on the other hand I liked being able to read the comparison with the trips to Nepal and Bhutan. Made me feel excited about my trip planning :)
