Paul Andrew Bramley, a 28 year old, was enrolled at César Ritz College’s hospitality and tourism course in Lucerne.
According to UK officials, Mr. Bramley, originally from Hull, England was one of three British passengers flying from Barcelona to Düsseldorf on the Airbus 320. On Tuesday, the plane crashed in the mountainous area in Haute-Provence.
A British Foreign Office spokesman said that Paul had just been on holiday with his friends in Barcelona after finishing his first year studying at the college and that he was trying to return back to see his family in UK via Düsseldorf.
On 1st April, Mr. Bramley was due to begin an internship at Zurich’s Marriott Hotel. Fellow students and friends of his at César Ritz College told the media that he was well liked and popular amongst his peers.
Arlette Pfeiffer, the director of the César Ritz College in Lucerne, said that everyone was shocked and saddened at the news. Arlette went onto say that he was a great person who was not only humorous but also polite and had an interest in helping others.
As to date, investigators in France have not come to a conclusion as to why the aircraft crashed.
