Dubai has been voted the best city on Earth to work, beating off completion from the likes of Hong Kong, London, Singapore, Paris and New York.
According to a recent survey carried out by Insead’s French alumni association, Dubai came first on a list of 15 of the world’s seemingly most desirable places to live. The researchers questioned 835 alumni from the school’s European-based campus who had gained experience working in the 15 cities involved.
Among the things taken into account were the availability of young talent, quality of labour, cost of living, access of funding and access to technology. Dubai came out number one in the economic dynamism category, third for overall amenities and fourth for cost of living and quality of life.
The Insead campus’s director in Abu Dhabi, Miguel Lobo, said that many may find it a surprise that the emirate had been ranked in first place, but for those that work for the Insead Alumni Association in the region, it came as no surprise.
Lobo explained that key decision makers and business leaders see the dynamism and importance of the country, which was why they opted to live, work and immerse themselves in its business landscape.
