Malaga has Spain’s cheapest beer

Malaga serves the cheapest beer in Spain, revealed a recent survey, spelling good news for the large number of expats that reside in the southern city.

With the average price of a beer being just €1.56, the Andalucian city is also the fourth cheapest city out of the 75 surveyed worldwide.

The rankings, which were listed by Go-Euro after comparing 33cl beers in hotel bars and stores across the 75 cities, showed Krakow in Poland as having the cheapest beer at an average of just €1.51. The Ukrainian capital Kiev and the Slovakian capital Bratislava completed the top three, with beers costing and average of €1.52 and €1.54 respectively.

After Malaga in fourth place were India’s Delhi and Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam, where beers would set you back an average of €1.59 and €1.62 respectively, while Mexico City, Belgrade in Serbia and the Paraguay capital Asuncion were next on the list at €1.78, €1.79 and €1.80 respectively.

The top 10 was completed by the popular expat haven of Bangkok, where a beer costs an average of €1.92.
