Some immigration consultants in the United Arab Emirates are now offering high-priced Canadian job offer services although they are not licensed to do so.
Most immigrant visas for Canada now require job offers from Canadian companies in specific skilled and semi-skilled fields listed by the Canadian immigration office. It’s well known that getting to Canada is easy, but finding a sponsored job once there is extremely difficult, leading many would-be migrants to return home or be deported.
As a result, a booming but illegal job offer service is now being touted by many UAE immigration advisors licensed to only give immigration advice. The service doesn’t come free or even cheap; it's expensive but many would-be migrants see no option but to use it.
Jalil Parker of Dubia’s Vision Consultancy Services explains that a major problem is linking Canadian employers with prospective migrant employees. Canadian human resources departments must prove their unsuccessful attempts to hire local labour to immigration before they are allowed to hire workers form overseas.
Parker adds that a network of immigration consultants in Canada are linked with their UAE equivalents selling job offers to UAE nationals looking to emigrate. The Canadian consultants have contacts with numerous companies looking to hire foreign labour, with an increasing number of UAE nationals taking advantage of the strictly illegal scheme.
