Young British expat in Costa del Sol attacked by serial sex offender

A serial sex offender has attacked a young British expat after hiding in her car after teling her she wouldn’t be the first woman he’d killed.
A manhunt for the serial sex attacker is now under way across the Costa del Sol region after a victim was forced under threat of death to perform sex acts on him. Fuengirola is best known as one of the Spanish region’s favourite holiday and retirement hub for British families and pensioners, and is normally considered to be one of the safer spots in Europe as regards violent attacks of this type.
The attack on the as yet unnamed British woman was one of several over the past month. The victim had been about to return home in the early hours of the morning from her job in Fuengirola, and had left her car on Calle Maestra Angeles, just behind the port. When she got into the car and attempted to turn on the engine, a man who’d been hiding on the back seat jumped forward and attacked her. Holding a screwdriver to her throat, he told her she would not be the first woman he had murdered.
After forcing her into lewd sex acts whilst still threatening her, he fled the scene in a white van. Spanish police have linked the shocking attack with two other assaults on women over the past two weeks, both of which showed a similar modus operandum on the part of the attacker. The first involved a Spanish woman who was followed into an elevator by a man who forced her to take off her trousers and threatened her with a screwdriver. Before he could assault his victim, a sudden noise caused him to flee.
Another Spanish woman was attacked last Sunday whilst walking home after a night out with her friends. A stranger approached her, rubbed himself against her and attempted to have her fondle him, but her friends began shouting at him until he calmly walked away, got into a white van and drove away. All three women reported their attacker had used a white van.
Spanish police have issued a description of the man, saying he has an athletic build and dark skin, is about 5 ft 7 inches tall, has short hair and possibly a tattoo on an arm. The manner in which his attacks have escalated in such a short period of time gives cause for concern, and police are urging women to take extra care and not walk alone at night.
