As reported by Express, Britain’s hardest working dad has emigrated to New Zealand, along with his spouse and 12 children, since they see the future at home as too bleak for their children.
Dave and Jackie Jones landed in Australia yesterday, thinking it offers them new opportunities. Dave, 42, says he must do what he can for his children, explaining that the UK at the moment does not offer the opportunities he wants for his children.
He says that he, his wife, seven daughters and five sons, have made the family decision to emigrate. It was a unanimous decision, he said.
They are sure that their new life in Brisbane will open up new opportunities that would surely be denied to them at their home town of Cumbria, which is a famously deprived area in the UK with very high unemployment rates and lower-than-average salary levels.
Dave, who was in the headlines back in 2010 as he refused to rely on federal benefits to ease the economic strain of his big family, says he has zero regrets about leaving Britain.
