An Irish expat living in the Spanish resort town of Estepona has been killed in a car crash, according to reports from southern Spain.
The motorist is thought to be 34-year-old Sean McShea, who was declared dead shortly after emergency services turned up at the scene at 5am on Monday morning. Reports state he was driving the vehicle and that nobody else was hurt.
McShea, a former boxer, hit the headlines in Spain in March after he risked his life to save a number of people from a burning building. The Dubliner was walking past the building in Duquesa Port at around 2am when he noticed the blaze. He then ran into inside and found a fire extinguisher to put halt the blaze. Firemen said later that he almost certainly save lives.
McShea moved to Duquesa eight years ago and had been working as a personal trainer.
