A British family discovered dead in their Gibraltar house in March were killed by the Spanish mother, an inquest has been told.
Thirty-seven-year-old Anarda De La Caridad Perez Friman stabbed her husband, four-year-old child and six-week old baby before committing suicide.
Her husband, John Joseph Shannon from Liverpool, reportedly had wounds on his body indicating that he had tried to defend himself from the attack.
North East Wales and Central Coroner John Gittins said at an inquest that Shannon’s body had been returned for interment. He added that the wife had “taken action against” the family before taking her own life. The post mortem in Gibraltar showed that Shannon most likely died from a stab wound to his neck.
The family were due to return to Britain in the near future after having lived in Estepona for more than a year. Their friends, whose home they had been staying in, discovered the bodies on 30 March.
