UK expats in Costa del Sol urged to audition for British TV show

Brit expats on the Costa del Sol are needed for the new Bargain Loving Brits series.
Theatrically-inclined Brits living and loving their lives in Spain’s Costa del Sol are being urged to audition for Channel Five’s upcoming Bargain Loving Brits show, the fifth in the series. Auditions will be taking place during May, with the team hoping to hear from expats who’d love to get involved and who’ve interesting stories to tell. The casting process is now underway and it’s hoped this run of the popular TV show will feature new businesses as well as fun events held by established attractions in the region. Meanwhile, it’s a sad day for regulars at Manilva’s much-loved Roman Oasis restaurant as its founder and restaurateur Paul Hickling has decided to call it a day and retire after 36 years at the helm of one of the Costa del Sol’s most iconic eateries. Famous for its fabulous food, quirky décor and charming host, the renowned eatery attracted celebrities such as TV chef Keith Floyd as well as expats and locals looking to enjoy a very special night out. During an interview with local English language media, Paul said retirement had been on his mind for a while, adding he’d decided just to close the restaurant rather than sell it on as a going concern, as he can’t imagine anyone else running it!
